Drawing and painting have always come naturally to Ong. His natural artistic abilities led him to an interest in tattoo at a young age. After receiving his first tattoo in his early 20’s, Ong then began to teach himself the art of tattoo; first with Thai traditional bamboo and then with electric machine.

In 2002, Ong came to Phuket and worked at various studios around the island. After a 3 month period of working in Australia, Ong returned to Phuket in 2008 and opened his own studio; Siam Ink.
